Victoria Kapper, LCSW

Owner/Provider

My name is Victoria Kapper and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#100449) in the state of California and based in San Diego. I’m fiercely passionate about being a social worker and therapist. It is an honor to walk alongside my clients in their journeys.

I graduated from San Diego State University (SDSU) with a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development, as well as a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. I have almost 10 years of clinical experience under my belt and have worked with diverse populations experiencing different mental health presentations and acuity levels. Throughout the years, I  have received psychotherapy training by the psychiatry departments affiliated with University of California, San Diego, Rady Children’s Hospital and Family Health Centers. I’m currently engaged in one to one consultation and supervision to grow and refine my clinical skills helping thoughts with eating disorders and OCD. Outside of my private practice, I work for UWill providing accessible therapy to college students.

I whole-heartedly believe that the most significant indicator of successful therapy is the therapeutic relationship. My approach is engaged, compassionate and strength-based. I integrate evidenced-based practices with empathy, unconditional positive regard and genuineness in treatment. When you choose to come to see me for mental health therapy, you're opening the door to a supportive and compassionate space where your needs are prioritized. I understand that everyone's journey is unique, and my approach is centered on meeting you where you are, guiding you through challenges such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and significant life transitions. With years of clinical experience, I genuinely care about helping you find strategies that resonate with you, fostering a sense of empowerment and hope. Together, we can work towards understanding your feelings and finding a path forward.

When I’m out of the office, you can find me flowing on my yoga mat or curled up with a book and my two pugs. One of my core values is giving back to the community and I frequently engage in volunteer work to support at-risk youth, mentor therapists in training, promote mental health advocacy and social justice and of course, help animals in need.

Abby & Luna

Therapy Pugs

Animals are a wonderful source of support for mental health, bringing companionship, unconditional love, and joy into our lives. Abby and Luna may make an occasional appearance in sessions to spread their joy and positivity. Don’t mind their snorts- it is how they show their love!
